As its title suggests, A Checkered Past brings together random components, some of unknown purpose, combined with familiar objects -- all gathered outside of their original contexts. Together they create their own "gestalt." nestling up to each other, each element playing off the other. The informal balance and seeming haphazard composition are meant to delight the eye and engage the viewer ... an offbeat abstract composition that could provoke conversation and enliven a space in your home or office.

Repurposed wood and metal components, including flute, game board, tennis racquet protector, small frame, misc doo-dads.
